The Couple after wedding
May 19, will go down as the day the British monarchy changed. Prince Harry the second son of Prince Charles and grandson of Queen Elizabeth married the American Actress Meghan Markle. The wedding broke a number of taboos. Markle is biracial, a divorcee, and three years older than Harry. Markle who was a well-known TV actress having been a key actress on the successful TV show Suits. The wedding itself was unique, with Markle not being walked down the aisle, instead of being met near the altar by Prince Charles. The royal wedding itself included a 12-minute sermon by an African American minister.
Prince Harry was a public advocate of making the royal family more accessible. He served in the British military including being deployed to Afghanistan in a combat role.
Meghan and Harry Share a Never-Before-Seen Photo of Their Growing Family

- Meghan Markle and Prince Harry first met on a blind date in 2016 and kept their relationship very private for a few months until the press got word of the news. Royal wedding: Prince Harry, Meghan Markle to wed on May 19 at Windsor Castle
Britain's Prince Harry and his American fiancee, Meghan Markle, will marry on Saturday May 19, 2018, Kensington Palace has announced.
Queen Elizabeth's grandson, fifth-in-line to the throne, and Ms Markle, who stars in the US TV legal drama Suits, announced their engagement last month with the marriage to take place in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.
"His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms Meghan Markle will marry on 19th May 2018," Kensington Palace said in a statement, using Prince Harry's legal name.
The couple have chosen to marry in Windsor, west of London, because it is "a special place for them".
Windsor Castle is one of Queen Elizabeth II's main residences and the 15th-century chapel is as historic but more intimate than Westminster Abbey, where Prince Harry's older brother Prince William married Kate Middleton in 2011.
Prince Harry's 91-year-old grandmother will attend the ceremony.
Ms Markle, 36, who attended a Catholic school as a child but identifies as a Protestant, will be baptised and confirmed into the Church of England before the wedding.
She intends to become a British citizen, though she will retain her US citizenship while she goes through the process.
The Gothic St George's Chapel is located in the grounds of Windsor Castle, which has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years.
Within the chapel are the tombs of ten sovereigns, including Henry VIII and his third wife Jane Seymour, and Charles I.
The wedding date presents a potential conflict for Prince William, however.
Prince William is president of the English Football Association, and May 19 is the date of the FA Cup final, one of the biggest English soccer games of the year.
Prince William attended this year's match and presented a trophy to the winner, Arsenal.
The invitations, made by London-based printing company Barnard Westwood, featured two special details. First, they were printed with American black-and-gold ink on English card stock, an apparent nod to Markle and Harry's roots and a symbol of their union. And second, Markle was referred to as "Ms." instead of "Miss" on the invitation — which royal experts noted is the correct way to address a woman who has been divorced, according to proper etiquette.
"It's not my personal style," the actress said about her character's wedding dress on "Suits." "I personally prefer wedding dresses that are whimsical or subtly romantic," she revealed in an interview with Glamour in 2016.
The soon-to-be royal also described her style as "classic and simple" with a modern twist. "Delphine Manivet and Christos Costarellos are faves of mine for their uniqueness and beauty," Markle told Glamour. "And I will always be a fan of Ellie Saab. J. Mendel is spectacular as well, especially for more structural designs."

Prince Harry and his American actress fiancée, Meghan Markle, have set their wedding date: May 19, 2018.
"Today's announcement follows earlier confirmation of the month of the wedding and its location at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle," Kensington Palace noted in its announcement Friday morning.

Windsor, a 900-year-old castle located about 30 minutes west of London, is the queen's favored weekend residence and one of the major royal tourist destinations in the U.K. It has been described as being a "very special place" to Harry and Meghan, who have visited regularly during their year-and-a-half relationship.
"Prince Harry and Ms. Markle are delighted that the beautiful grounds of Windsor Castle will be where they begin their lives together as a married couple," Kensington Palace press secretary Jason Knauf said Nov. 28, when they announced it as their wedding venue, one day after going public with the engagement.
St. George's, a chapel essentially in name only, is a 14th-century cathedral that can accommodate up to 800 guests. Often the site of royal baptisms and burials, it hosted the intimate 2005 prayer ceremony that marked the two-part wedding of Harry's father, Prince Charles, to his second wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, now the Duchess of Cornwall.
It holds a little less than half the capacity of Westminster Abbey, the traditional royal wedding venue that hosted the nuptials of Harry's older brother, Prince William and Duchess Kate in April 2011.
The venue was available to Harry and Meghan, following a 2002 rule change allowing divorced people to remarry within the Church of England. But by virtue of its smaller size and location outside the city, St. George's will afford them the lower-profile wedding they seem to prefer.
Kauf noted that Harry and Meghan are "leading the planning" in every aspect of wedding planning.

Per TMZ, he hated &ldquothe idea of missing one of the greatest moments in history and walking my daughter down the aisle.&rdquo Hours later, he pulls out again, this time due to doctor&rsquos orders of heart surgery. Thomas adds that his son&rsquos open letter to Prince Harry telling him to back out of the wedding is what caused his heart attack in the first place.

June 9, 2018: Meghan takes her place on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the very first time during the Trooping of the Colour celebrations.
She reportedly broke royal protocol with her &ldquorevealing&rdquo off-shoulder dress. But to be honest, no one cares. I mean, how could they? She looks gorgeous!
June 26, 2018: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex don&rsquot shy away from PDA&mdashwhich, to comply with royal protocol, really only goes as far as hand holding and back rubbing. While joining the queen at the Young Leaders awards ceremony at Buckingham Palace, Harry made sure to keep it to a minimum, resulting in this awkward attempted hand-hold:
Prince Harry and Meghan wanted to hold hands so badly 😩 pic.twitter.com/aEDi5sDBll&mdash DeMarko (@freakymarko) June 28, 2018
This is one of the most adorably awkward moments the couple has had thus far. Well, at least, in the public eye.
July 11, 2018: The pair pay an official visit to Ireland to meet all the country&rsquos highest officials. But really, the most important person they met is 3-year-old Walter Cullen during their visit to Croke Park.
The little boy tried to get the duchess&rsquos attention and reached out for her hair. And because Prince Harry is absolutely amazing with kids, he took this opportunity to pretend to scold Walter. Just look at the tot&rsquos reaction to getting caught in the act! SO CUTE!
August 16, 2018: The couple reportedly go on a secret Italian getaway with George and Amal Clooney at their Lake Como villa. Apparently, Harry spends most of this time playing basketball while Meghan helps to look after the Clooneys&rsquo twins, but these details (as well as the entire trip) have not been officially confirmed by the palace.
October 12, 2018: Meghan and Harry attend Princess Eugenie&rsquos wedding to Jack Brooksbank. And because of her large coat, people begin to suspect that the duchess is hiding a baby bump under her navy blue tent silhouette.
October 15, 2018: As it turns out, our suspicions were right! On the very same day as the start of the couple&rsquos first-ever royal tour, Kensington Palace officially confirms that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting their first child. According to reports, they first broke the news to their family at Eugenie&rsquos wedding on October 12. At this point, Meghan is 12 weeks into the pregnancy. Congrats to the happy couple!

November 24, 2018: A royal source has leaked news that Harry and Meghan are moving out of Kensington Palace and into Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate early next year. This news remains unconfirmed by the palace, but it doesn&rsquot come as a surprise since the couple will soon need more room to raise their little one.

It&rsquos where they had their private evening wedding party & where their gorgeous engagement pictures were shot. pic.twitter.com/uByYVm7pWC&mdash Emily Andrews (@byEmilyAndrews) November 23, 2018
But because everyone loves drama, rumors begin to swirl that the real reason behind Harry and Meghan&rsquos move is that tensions are rising between the Cambridges and the Sussexes.
November 27, 2018: Harry and Meghan celebrate the one-year anniversary of their engagement! But they don&rsquot spend it together&mdashin fact, they spend it rather far apart. Harry is in Zambia meeting with a group called African Parks (of which he is the president) as well as meeting with veterans and widows from the nation.
May 6, 2019: Meghan gives birth to her and Harry&rsquos first baby, Archie! Unlike Kate Middleton, Meghan opted out of giving birth in the Lindo Wing in a London Hospital and doing a &ldquostep out&rdquo right after giving birth. Two days later, they gave a quick interview and took a few pictures with Archie, which they then shared with the world.
September 29, 2019: Archie becomes the most accomplished baby ever because within a matter of months, he&rsquos already gone on a royal tour with his parents and met Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

March 9, 2020: During Meghan and Harry&rsquos final royal appearance, they shared a tense greeting with Kate and William at the Commonwealth Day Service. March 30, 2020: Meghan and Harry sign out of the @SussexRoyal Instagram account forever as they move on to the next chapter of their lives. July 17, 2020: Word on the street is that Meghan&rsquos mom, Doria, is living full-time with her and Harry to help take care of baby Archie by reading to him every morning and helping Meghan make organic food for him.
July 24, 2020: Harry and Meghan sue over photos taken of Archie from inside their Los Angeles home. Obviously, snapping unseen pictures of a literal baby where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy is so gross and creepy, so best of luck to the royals as they try to identify the photographer and secure the rights to the photos.
August 12, 2020: The Sussex fam bought a brand-new house in Santa Barbara!
&ldquoThe Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into their family home in July of this year,&rdquo the couple&rsquos rep told People. &ldquoThey have settled into the quiet privacy of their community since their arrival and hope that this will be respected for their neighbors as well as for them as a family.&rdquo

October 12, 2020: Meghan and Harry gave an update on baby Archie while talking with Malala Yousafzai to commemorate International Day of the Girl.
&ldquoTo be able to raise our son in a way where everything about his nourishment is in terms of educational substance and how you can learn and how you can grow. You know, having the privilege of being able to go to school is something that, I think, oftentimes is taken for granted.&rdquo
November 25, 2020: In an essay for the New York Times, Meghan opened up about having a miscarriage over the summer.
&ldquoWe have learned that when people ask how any of us are doing, and when they really listen to the answer, with an open heart and mind, the load of grief often becomes lighter&mdashfor all of us,&rdquo she continued. &ldquoIn being invited to share our pain, together we take the first steps toward healing.&rdquo

Marie Antoinette: The French Revolution
In fact, the nation’s difficulties were not the young queen’s fault. Eighteenth-century colonial wars–particularly the American Revolution, in which the French had intervened on behalf of the colonists–had created a tremendous debt for the French state. The people who owned most of the property in France, such as the Catholic Church (the 𠇏irst Estate”) and the nobility (the “Second Estate”), generally did not have to pay taxes on their wealth ordinary people, on the other hand, felt squeezed by high taxes and resentful of the royal family’s conspicuous spending.
Louis XVI and his advisers tried to impose a more representative system of taxation, but the nobility resisted. (The popular press blamed Marie Antoinette for this–she was known as “Madame Veto,” among other things–though she was far from the only wealthy person in France to defend the privileges of the aristocracy.) In 1789, representatives from all three estates (the clergy, the nobility and the common people) met at Versailles to come up with a plan for the reform of the French state, but noblemen and clergymen were still reluctant to give up their prerogatives. The “Third Estate” delegates, inspired by Enlightenment ideas about personal liberty and civic equality, formed a “National Assembly” that placed government in the hands of French citizens for the first time.
At the same time, conditions worsened for ordinary French people, and many became convinced that the monarchy and the nobility were conspiring against them. Marie Antoinette continued to be a convenient target for their rage. Cartoonists and pamphleteers depicted her as an 𠇊ustrian whore” doing everything she could to undermine the French nation. In October 1789, a mob of Parisian women protesting the high cost of bread and other goods marched to Versailles, dragged the entire royal family back to the city, and imprisoned them in the Tuileries.
In June 1791, Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette fled Paris and headed for the Austrian border–where, rumor had it, the queen’s brother, the Holy Roman Emperor, waited with troops ready to invade France, overthrow the revolutionary government and restore the power of the monarchy and the nobility. This incident, it seemed to many, was proof that the queen was not just a foreigner: She was a traitor.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry finally scraped together enough dough to pay their deposit and lock in a wedding date.
The palace announced Friday the couple will do the damn thing on May 19. That's one week earlier than a British tabloid had reported it would be, and means they will NOT tie the knot on a 3-day weekend. Bummer for their guests.
Nothing particularly special about the date in British royal history, anyway.
It is, however, the birth date of Malcolm X, Ho Chi Minh and Kim Zolciak. Sooo . there's that.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to marry on 19 May next year
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry on 19 May, it has been announced.
The pair, whose engagement was confirmed last month, are tying the knot at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
The royal family will pay for the wedding, including the church service, the music, the flowers and the reception, Kensington Palace has previously said, but the security costs are falling to the taxpayer.
"His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms. Meghan Markle will marry on 19th May 2018," Kensington Palace said.
"Today's announcement follows earlier confirmation of the month of the wedding and its location at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle."
American actress Ms Markle is set to appear at church with the Windsors at Sandringham on Christmas Day.
The wedding falls on the day of the 2018 FA Cup Final.
As President of the Football Association, Harry's older brother the Duke of Cambridge usually attends the high-profile match and presents the trophy.
But this year, William, who is tipped to be Harry's best man, looks likely to be otherwise engaged with wedding duties.
Palace aides have said that the prince and Ms Markle's wedding will "reflect their characters and personalities" and be a moment of "fun and joy".
They will say "I do" in the historic surrounds of the Castle's 15th century St George's Chapel.
Ms Markle, who is to become a British citizen, is being both baptised and confirmed ahead of the religious ceremony.
Harry proposed to Suits star Ms Markle during a night in over a roast chicken dinner after a 16-month romance.
Commenting on the fixture clash, an FA spokesman said: "Saturday 19 May promises to be a wonderful day with such a special royal occasion being followed by English football's showpiece event, the Emirates FA Cup Final. "With millions coming together to watch both events at home and around the world, it will be a day to celebrate."
